Esthetician (skin care) is a 600 clocked hour course, as required by the State of California to apply for the license examination. The program
consists of theory, practical training and technical instruction including all practices of sin care, including training in courtesy and professional
attitude in working with the public. It includes performing several types of facials, micro-derm abrasion, make-up application and waxing.
As of the most recent reporting period, we have an 88% Pass rate at State Board for the Esthetician Course.
ENROLLMENT REQUIRMENTS:
Prerequisites for admission include:
1. High School diploma or GED **Students not having a Diploma or G.E.D. must have completed the 10th grade AND have passed an Ability to
Benefit exam at Copper Mountain College.
2. All Students no matter their previous education must take a Placement Exam at Copper Mountain College and must meet the Elite
Cosmetology School required scores.
3. Photo ID
4. Social Security Card or proof of Eligible non-citizen status
Enrollment Process:
1. Take a tour of the School/Orientation
2. If applying for Financial Aid; an appointment with our Financial Aid Administrator will be necessary.
4. Take the Placement Exam at Copper Mountain College
5. Complete and return the Admission Application with a $75.00 (non-refundable) Registration Fee
6. Complete an Admissions Interview with the School Director
7. Arrange for all Financial Requirements
8. Complete the Enrollment Agreement

Once issued/opened, the books and supplies are not returnable due to sanitary considerations. The Registration fee is not refundable.
NOTE: Length of course duration will vary in accordance to the number of hours the student is scheduled to attend on a
weekly basis as stated on the enrollment agreement. However; during the 2010/2011 Award year a Full-time student scheduled to
attend 35 hours per week could expect to graduate within 4.5 months.

NOTE: On-time completion is defined by the U.S. Department of Education as anyone who graduates within the normal completion time. When
a student completes their graduation requirements, including all theory and practical assignments, and the required number of clock hours
contracted for within their original contracted graduation date, that student is considered to have graduated on-time. If a student delays their
graduation for any reason, such as family responsibilities, day care issues, and other life events, which causes them to graduate after their
original contract end date they are not considered an on-time graduate. Please note that our graduation rates that are provided in the school
catalog are based on how many students started the program and how many completed within the reporting period.

shows that for the most recent annual reporting period (2010 Calendar Year) that the Esthetician program has a Job Placement rate of - 66%

employment and are placed in field they trained for is 75%
The Median Loan debt incurred by Esthetician students who completed their course during the 10/11 award year
In order to pay for the cost of education, many of our students apply for student loans through the Department of Education. Student loans go
into repayment after a student leaves the school. The median loan debt listed refers to the amount of money a typical student owes once they
have graduated from their program of study. Private education loans are loans obtained from a bank or credit union. Institutional financing is
money owed directly to the school upon completion of the program.
